I Love U developed out of my archiving of several home videos shot on my family’s Hi-8 video camera. The camera had not been used for years and was nearly defunct, so I planned a camera-tossing performance modeled after the egg toss. This led to the creation of a digital/analog essay-video of multiplicities, drawing on histories of documentary, video art, animation, and structural works to bring out the political in the personal.
